5TH GRADE GREYHOUND THINGS | FALL EDITION
Spring Trip Announced
Mr. Giesler announced our 5th-grade trip via CTLS. It will be a science-focused field trip on Tybee Island, also run by Georgia 4-H, at the Burton 4-H Center. This will be a 3-day, 2- night field trip leaving on Monday, April 10, 2023, and returning Wednesday, April 12, 2023 (these are the first 3 days after Spring Break). The cost of the field trip will be closer to $300. This site is physically closer to Garrison Mill, thus cutting our transportation costs. Even with this lower cost, the 5th Grade Committee is working with the admin to organize a spirit night or two (read below to find out more) with local businesses to help lower the overall cost. More details about spirit nights will be coming. After Winter break in January, the cost will be finalized, a parent meeting with more details will be planned, and payments will begin being accepted for the trip.
CLASS 2023 TSHIRTS
Coming home today is your child’s official 5th Grade T-shirt, voted on and signed by all the kids in our Greyhound class of 2023! The Garrison Mill PTA has been able to pay for these shirts from your generous donations, so there is no payment due.
Thank you to GMPTA!
